Terms of Service

1. Who this agreement is with
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Hoopers Lists (hooperslist.com), operated under the trade name "Hoopers Lists" (DTI trade-name registration pending) ("we," "us," "our"). By creating a league, accepting an invite, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
2. What Hoopers Lists is
Hoopers Lists is a platform for running amateur basketball leagues - rosters, schedules, live stats, standings, awards, sponsorships, and dues tracking. Leagues are onboarded and administered by the people who create them (a "Commissioner" and the staff they invite); we don't operate, referee, or officiate any actual game.
3. Accounts and roles
You're responsible for the accuracy of information you or your league staff enter, and for keeping your login credentials secure. Leagues assign roles (Commissioner, League Admin, Coach, Player, and custom roles) that control what a given account can see and do within that league - see your league's own settings for who holds what role.
Some players in a league may be minors. Account holders who add or manage minors' information (name, stats, photos) confirm they have the authority and any necessary parental/guardian consent to do so under applicable law.
4. Payments and dues
League dues/fees tracked in Hoopers Lists are recorded manually by league staff (cash, bank transfer, or similar) - the platform does not process card payments or store payment card details. Any fee you pay for the platform itself (per docs/pricing) is handled separately, by hand, during onboarding; pricing and billing terms may change, and we'll tell current leagues directly before any change affects them.
5. Content you submit
You (or your league) retain ownership of the content you upload - rosters, photos, logos, stats, sponsor information. By uploading it, you grant us a license to store, display, and process it as needed to operate the platform (for example, showing a public player profile or generating a shareable stat card). You're responsible for having the right to upload anything you submit, including player photos and sponsor logos.
6. Public pages
Certain league data - standings, schedules, player profiles, awards, and similar - is designed to be publicly viewable by default, without requiring a login, so fans and players can follow along. Your league's Commissioner controls what's entered; see our Privacy Policy for what's public versus restricted to logged-in league members.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the platform to harass, defame, or misrepresent others; don't upload content you don't have rights to; don't attempt to bypass league-scoping, access controls, or security measures; don't use the platform to collect data on players/leagues outside of running your own league.
8. Availability and changes
Hoopers Lists is under active development (currently in Beta). Features may change, and we'll try to give notice before anything that meaningfully affects how your league already uses the platform. We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Termination
You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate a league's access for violating these Terms or misusing the platform; where practical, we'll try to give notice first.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hoopers Lists is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
